Class sets are priced with per-unit volume discounts and can be delivered in organized sets with labeling as needed.
Yes. We offer discounted pricing for verified educational institutions — K-12 schools, accredited colleges and universities, and nonprofit educational organizations. Educational pricing is typically 10–20% below standard commercial rates, depending on order size. To access educational pricing, provide your institution's name, department, and a contact email on an institutional domain when requesting a quote. Purchase orders from educational institutions are accepted with net-30 terms for approved institutions.
No minimum quantity. We've produced single one-of-a-kind research pieces and class sets of 150 identical units. Volume pricing kicks in at 10+ units of the same design, and discounts increase at 25+, 50+, and 100+ units. For ongoing curriculum needs, we can set up a standing order arrangement so replacement units and additional quantities ship on request without re-quoting. We recommend maintaining a small inventory of key teaching models to replace items that get damaged through heavy student use.
Absolutely — this is one of our favorite types of project. Faculty regularly bring us concepts for teaching aids that don't exist commercially. If you have a 3D file, we print it. If you have a sketch, description, or reference to an existing physical object, our design team can build a 3D model from your brief. Custom teaching aid design is quoted based on complexity, typically $75–$300 for most educational models. The institution retains full ownership of any custom designs we produce for them.
Yes. Our standard materials — PLA, PETG, and standard resins — are non-toxic and safe for general handling by students of all ages. PLA is bioplastic-derived and among the safest plastics in common use. For applications involving younger students or environments where mouthing of objects is possible, we recommend PLA as the safest material choice. Resin-printed parts are UV-cured and fully inert after post-curing — safe for regular handling. We do not recommend any of our materials for food contact without specific food-safe material selection.
