We accept STL, OBJ, 3MF, and AMF as print-ready formats. For CAD files, we accept STEP, IGES, Rhino 3DM, Fusion 360 F3D, and SolidWorks SLDPRT. For 2D engineering drawings, DWG, DXF, and PDF are accepted for 2D-to-3D conversion projects. If you don't have files yet, describe your project in the form — we can quote design-plus-print projects from a description, sketch, or reference photo. Don't let a missing file stop you from getting a quote.
Yes. Our in-house design team converts sketches, photos, dimensions, and descriptions into printable 3D models. Design services are quoted separately based on complexity — typically $100–$400 for most product designs and $75–$250 for simpler mechanical parts. You retain full ownership of all design files we produce for your project. For very simple modifications to existing files (adding a hole, changing a dimension), we often handle this as part of our standard file review at no charge. Specify that you need design help when you fill out the form and we'll include that in your quote.
Prices vary widely based on size, material, process, quantity, and finish requirements. As general ranges: small FDM prototypes (palm-sized) run $25–$150; SLA resin models of similar size run $75–$300; architectural scale models typically range from $200 to $2,000+ depending on complexity; engineering parts in nylon or CF composites typically run 2–3× the equivalent FDM price in standard materials. Absolutely. Just mention in your quote request that you'd like an NDA in place before sharing files, and we'll send one for signature immediately. Once signed, you can transfer files securely. For sensitive aerospace, medical, or startup product projects where IP protection is critical, we recommend requesting the NDA first. We won't push back — protecting your intellectual property is a standard part of how we work, not an upsell or exception.
A member of our team — a real person, not an algorithm — receives your submission and reviews it. If you've submitted files (via email), they're reviewed for printability as part of the quoting process. We'll come back to you with a quote that includes price, lead time, and any recommendations on material or process. During business hours (Mon–Fri, 8am–6pm CT), this typically happens within 2–4 hours. For rush requests or time-sensitive quotes, call us directly and we'll prioritize your project immediately. Once you approve a quote, we require a deposit to schedule production — final payment on delivery.
